El Gouna
El Gouna is a modern town resort located on the coastline of the Red Sea, approximately 30 km north of Hurghada and the airport. Built on 10 km of beach with 18 wondrous hotels, the city combines the authentic Egyptian culture and a modern European standards. The city itself is built on artificial islands, accommodating 24,000 residents migrated from all over the world, mainly from Europe and is known for its lagoons and sandy beaches. It is nearly self-sufficient and has its own security system, infrastructure, recycling station, hospital, farm and much more.
The main areas are Abu Tig Marina, where you can walk around the luxury yachts and have a dinner by the water. At the latest hours the night clubs and bars are open to. We recommend you to visit bartender besides Captain’s Inn Hotel for some freshly made cocktails! Tamr Henna Square in Downtown is popular by the locals, there you find shops, pubs and cafes. And of course Mangroovy beach where you will find us and many other kite stations.

The weather in El Gouna is sunny all year long. Temperatures range between 17 °C and 33 °C. Humidity is 22% on average.
Night life
El Gouna has plenty of venues to explore after dark. If you are not too tired after a day on the water you can meet friends for a relaxed drink and conversation at a bar, challenge your friends and us at billiards, try an authentic Egyptian shisha (water-pipe) , dine out and try some local specialties or grab a juicy burger. If you still have energy over, why not visit one of the many nightclubs around. Almost every evening offers something different. You will find karaoke and live-music acts mixed with standard nightclub venues that has open till late hours.
Activities
Popular activities are: Kitesurfing, cable Wake Park, Stan up paddling, diving, snorkeling trips, quad bike, motocross, golf and horse-riding.
Get around
To move around in El Gouna is easy, just grab a tuk tuk! The price is 15 EGP or 0, 75 Euro cents per person between Downtown and the Marina & 20 EGP or 1 EUR per person to the kite beach. There is also a possibility to rent transportation e.g. scooter/car to go around with.
